Tiscali - the rascal ISP

Tiscali already owe me £200+ for providing the wrong dial up numbers - in the time before broadband - resulting in high telephone costs. They admitted their error, but failed to refund the BT charges. (4 yrs ago).

So I changed providers - but they bought the company.

Then, they offered an upgrade - which resulted in useage capping. (2 yrs ago).

So, I changed providers- but they bought Pipex too.

And now they have reduced my broadband speed from 8mb to 2mb. Apparently they:

'are always striving to provide the best service possible to our customers. The
key reason for this change is to enable Pipex to increase its product offering
to Pipex Internet customers.

Except me?

Perchance, in this morning's mail there is a letter from another supplier, who are not owned by Tiscali, so another move is on the cards.
